Al Joined the industry in 1994 as a craft apprentice with Haden Young, undertaking an NVQ Level 3 in Heating & Ventilation, during which achieved apprentice of the year.
Following this, he took on the role as Productivity Manager, and in 2007 changed to Labour Manager and subsequently National Labour Manager, responsible for a direct workforce of over 500.
More recently, in 2016 he joined Dalkia, part of the EDF group, as Head of Industrial Relations, where he continues in this position, which in addition to overseeing all resources within the Dalkia Engineering business, includes regular interaction with various associations relating to working rule agreements and Unite the Union.
