This week JTL is refreshing our logo and tagline with a small branding update to better reflect who we are and what we do – ‘An Industry Charity: Powering Electrical and Plumbing Apprenticeships’.

While on the face of it a cosmetic change, this update also serves to clearly communicate what sets JTL apart as the gold-standard of building services-engineering training. We are an industry charity, created by industry and for industry, established over 30 years ago by the Electrical Contractors’ Association and Unite the Union to train apprentices in the electrical and plumbing trades.

The short and snappy ‘Powering Apprenticeships’ is now part of our logo –and the longer tagline, ‘An industry charity: powering electrical and plumbing apprenticeships’, speaks for itself.

This tagline highlights what defines us: our roots as a charity and our commitment to high-quality apprenticeships training to give people a job for life in the trades. It helps everyone, whether already familiar with JTL or just getting to know us, see that we are a leader in apprenticeship delivery: building futures and dedicated to helping individual apprentices, employers and wider industry.

Our mission remains unchanged. We are still driven by the same passion for empowering apprentices and supporting businesses, and crucially committed to our core values: Integrity, Professionalism, Respect, and Responsiveness, which drive everything we do.

If you follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you’ll see our logo has already changed there. Taking sustainability seriously, we don’t want to make unnecessary waste – so we’re using up existing materials as much as possible before changing signage and leaflets.

We’re looking forward to showcasing more of what we do, under the banner of our new logo and strapline, and continuing to build futures in these vital industries.
