2022/23 Industrial Determination agreement reached


JTL is pleased to report that the parties to the JIB, the ECA and Unite the Union, have reached an agreement for the 2022 and 2023 Industrial Determination.

The key changes to note are:

From 3rd January 2022

  • 2.5% increase in wages

From 2nd January 2023

  • 2.5% increase in wages
  • Mileage Allowance and Mileage Rate will be calculated using the fastest route [replacing the shortest route].
  • JIB Sick Pay for operatives will increase by £10 per week for weeks 3 to 24 and £5 per week for weeks 25 to 52
  • Accidental Death Benefit for operatives while at work will be increased by £15,000 to £70,000
  • Accidental Death Benefit for apprentices while at work will be increased by £15,000 to £25,000
