Last month on Thursday 28th August, JTL Oxford hosted the Oxford Electrical Engineers ‘Alex Innes’ Apprenticeship Awards 2025 in association with the ECA. A significant event held in memory of the late Alex Innes.
With 9 talented apprentices from ECA Member companies competing across two categories, the training centre was buzzing with energy as many apprentices, employers and ECA members stopped by to show their support.
Apprentices were set a mix of tasks throughout the day, both practical and theory based, going head-to-head to showcase their skills to be crowned Oxfordshire’s Best Electrical Apprentice and bag themselves some prize money.

Judging was expertly handled by JTL staff and the ECA Chair, and the day wrapped up with a well-deserved presentation ceremony.
