JTL announces new plumbing start tool kits partnership

UKPS News piece

To coincide with World Plumbing Day (11th March), JTL, will be working with UK Plumbing Supplies Ltd, representing leading plumbing, heating and bathroom merchants as part of its annual free toolkit initiative.

For the last five years, JTL has been distributing free toolkits to learners who are on a qualifying apprenticeship. Leading national plumbers’ merchants will now be supplying the toolkits to JTL apprentices up and down the country to ensure that every plumbing and heating apprentice is equipped for the job in hand.

Judi Wheeler, National Delivery Director at JTL, said: “Providing a free toolkit to every plumbing and heating apprentice during their first year is fundamental to our aim of making every apprentice feel an important part of the profession.

“One of the many things these national plumbers’ merchants have in common is the commitment to invest in the industry’s future and support the trade professionals from the very start of their careers and throughout. We are thrilled to be working in partnership with a number of leading plumbers’ merchants and look forward to developing a strategic relationship over the coming years”.

Steve Wimbledon, Commercial Director at UK Plumbing Supplies, said: “UK Plumbing Supplies, which comprises of Plumbase, GB Willbond, HPS, MDS, Plumbcity, Plumbstop, Plumbstore, UKPS, Gas Centre & Michael Pavis, are proud to be able to make this possible.

“JTL’s role in helping learners at the very start of their careers is firmly aligned with our own intention to nurture talent and invest in the future of our industry”.

JTL operates a similar scheme for its electrical apprentices who all receive a free toolkit from Edmundson Electrical.
