JTL’s modern facility in Telford opened its doors in April 2022. Purpose-built with the modern apprentice in mind, this centre is designed to give learners the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in the electrical industry.
Whether you’re just starting your career or looking to upskill, our Telford centre delivers top-quality apprenticeship training and specialist courses tailored to meet the demands of today’s electrical sector.
What You’ll Find at our Centre
Inside, you’ll discover a fully equipped, industry-standard electrical workshop, a modern classroom, and a student canteen. Located in a convenient spot with free parking and excellent public transport links, it’s a hub for learners across the region with the M54 close by and just a 5-minute walk from Oakengates train station.
Our experienced tutors don’t just teach — they mentor, guide, and support apprentices every step of the way, delivering both the practical and theoretical underpinning knowledge needed to complete your apprenticeship successfully and on time. This is supported by our dedicated industry-competent training officers who visit and support you on-site every 10-12 weeks.

Enrolment & Training Pattern
Our courses generally run from September to July, with some opportunities for mid-year entry. Training is delivered through a day-release model, allowing you to remain employed, gaining practical experience on site while attending dedicated learning periods—offering a balance between real practical work and focused study.
