Rajan Kudhail

Not sure of what he wanted to do for a career, 18year old Rajan Kudhail decided to try out a JTL Traineeship programme.

“Having found the programme online and seeing previous positive reviews, I was immediately interested, and I applied from there”, Rajan explained.

Rajan undertook the course with future hopes of gaining a qualification and becoming a trained electrician. To assist him in achieving this, Rajan spent 4-weeks out of his 12-week programme on site with established employers, Willmott Dixon.

When asked if this experience gave him a good feel for the industry, Rajan explained, “Yes definitely, as I was unsure about how things worked on a site, but now I understand how to work on a site efficiently, stay safe and, also how to communicate effectively with other workers.

“Overall, I’ve found the programme very helpful. It was a good way of learning and a great way to communicate with new people.

“The experience on site was amazing as well as not many providers offer that, and it has helped me to further understand what I want to do in the construction sector.”
