We’re pleased to share that JTL apprentice, Thomas Turner, has been selected to join Squad UK ahead of this year’s WorldSkills Competition.
Competitors from across the UK have been selected to join the team ahead of the competition, which takes place during 10th – 15th September in Lyon, France. The UK, for the first time, will be competing in Renewable Energy and Additive Manufacturing, therefore, an intensive selection process was held to create Squad UK.
JTL apprentice, Thomas, has been selected to join the Renewable Energy team. Last year, Thomas also competed in the SkillELECTRIC UK finals alongside seven other finalists, having beat competitors from across the country at the national qualifying heats to be named within the top eight scoring apprentices.
Thomas is now in training with the aim of being selected to represent the UK. We’ll keep you updated on his progress.
