JTL’s Director of Human Resources retires after 19 years at the company

Director of Human Resources at JTL, Julie Asher-Smith, has announced her retirement, following 19 years of service at one of the leading apprenticeship providers in England and Wales.

Over the years, Julie has been central to the growth and development of JTL and has actively supported collaborative working projects and initiatives, including Leaders in Safeguarding, Committed 2 Equality and developing JTL’s close working relationship with the Electrical Industries Charity.

As a member of the judging panel for the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards, Julie has been a driving force in shining a light on the achievements of apprentices and supporting the equality of opportunities for individuals across England and Wales.

As JTL bids farewell to Julie, the not-for-profit training provider remains committed to its mission of providing outstanding apprenticeship opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds to shape the future of the building services engineering sector across England and Wales.

Chris Claydon, Chief Executive of JTL, said: “Julie’s contributions to JTL have been marked over the past 19 years. Her commitment to JTL and its people, advocacy for apprentices, and dedication to nurturing diverse and inclusive apprenticeship environments have left a lasting mark.

“We wish Julie a well-deserved retirement and express our gratitude for her excellent service to JTL over the years.”
