JTL’s Toolkit initiatives continue to go from strength to strength

Leading national training provider, JTL, continues to support the developing needs of apprentice electricians and plumbers by distributing free, state-of-the-art toolkits at JTL’s new Birmingham training centre.

The initiative, which has been in place at JTL for the last six years, has successfully ensured that each JTL learner is equipped for the job in hand by providing them with a free electrical or plumbing tool kit. JTL’s formal partnership with electrical distribution company, Edmundson Electrical, and leading plumbing, heating and bathroom supply merchants, UK Plumbing Supplies Ltd, has since seen all of JTL’s Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Services (MES) apprentices receive one of the companies’ state-of-the-art toolkits.

As a commitment to these partnerships, representatives from both companies were present at the official opening of JTL’s new dedicated training centre in Birmingham. There, they presented first-year MES and Electrical apprentices at the centre with their free toolkits, ultimately ensuring that they are prepared for their future training.

Jon Graham, Chief Executive at JTL, said: “Ensuring that every MES and Electrical apprentice is supplied with a free toolkit during their first year is fundamental to our aim of making every apprentice feel an important part of the profession. We are thrilled to continue our partnerships with UK Plumbing Supplies and Edmundson Electrical, and we are delighted that they were both able to play such an important role at the official opening of our new state-of-the-art centre in Birmingham.”

Matt Ward, Head of Training and Development at Edmundson Electrical, also commented: “Edmundson Electrical is delighted to be able to contribute to the development of JTL apprentices as they take their first steps in their careers. The training and support that JTL provides at fantastic facilities such as these will help guarantee the future of this great industry, and all of us at Edmundson Electrical are proud to be a part of this.”

Andy Clarke, Central Regional Director, at UK Plumbing Supplies Ltd, said: “We are delighted to have attended the official opening of the new training centre and to have had the opportunity to meet the current MES apprentices. We look forward to continuing our partnership with JTL, providing toolkits to the apprentices at the start of their career is a great opportunity for us to invest in the future of our industry.”
